As the global economy continues to evolve, continuous learning has become an indispensable core competency for outstanding leaders. 2024 Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance Center for Executive Education launched the Alumni Learning Program in phases with selected high-quality thematic courses in response to the real needs of socio-economic development.
On June 29, 2024, the "Digital China" Entrepreneurship Course Project of Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance Center hosted an AI and Digitalization Special Session for the "Executive Education Alumni Learning Plan." Min Wanli, Director of Digital Engineering Service Center of Research Institute of Tsinghua University in Shenzhen and former Vice President of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, delivered a speech titled “AI Technology Transformation and Industrial Development.” He shared the practices and methodologies, elements, and development paths of digital transformation in the context of the rapid development of AI and large models, using digitalization to address the issues of industrial development, topic selection, problem-solving, and solution formulation.
Mr. Min Wanli founded North Summit Capital and Quadtalent Technology, and served at Synthesis Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. Mr. Min was the Vice President of Alibaba Cloud and the Chief Scientist of Machine Intelligence, and his "ET Brain" won the "World Internet Leading Science and Technology Achievement Award" at the World Internet Conference in 2017 and 2018. He was recognized by Forbes Magazine as China's AI leader in 2017, and was elected as a member of the New Generation Artificial Intelligence Strategic Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology in the same year.
Mr. Min Wanli, through a series of case studies of city brains and industrial brains, illustrated that the application of science and technology is aimed at creating value for enterprises and society. In this process, industrial scenarios and capital support are intertwined, providing fertile ground for technology to create value.
The "Digital China" program also held a closed-door seminar on the topic of entering to overseas markets, in which Yi Lifeng, Founder of HiSEAS International Tourism Group, shared the opportunities of operating in Hungary and Saudi Arabia. Zhang Peko, Chairman of Sunshine Global Circuits Co.,Ltd. , shared the practice of building factories in Southeast Asia and exporting products to Europe and the United States,. Liu Jincheng, the Chairman of the Board of Hiconics Eco-energy Technology Co., Ltd. and Jiangnan Yifan Motor Co., Ltd. shared his understanding of investing in and setting up factories in Switzerland, and Ray Li, the Founder of Heroad investments, shared the case of investing in a globalized service-oriented technology brand and the practice of entering the Japanese market.
