During this year's two sessions, Yu Minhong, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, proposed to include screening for autism in children in medical insurance. Yu Minhong stated that the diagnosis cycle for autism in children is relatively long, and it is recommended to include early screening for autism in the necessary items of routine examinations for children, and to include the cost of re screening for diagnosis in the medical insurance coverage. At the same time, we will increase the intensity of re screening, strengthen the mechanism construction of discovery, referral, and re screening after the initial screening, achieve early detection and intervention, and reduce the burden on families.
